ABOUT WWR
Our Mission
Wright-Way Rescue seeks to reduce the number of homeless adoptable pets euthanized in the Midwest each year through an adoption program, community education, promotion of spaying and neutering, and a shelter medicine outreach program.
History Of WWR
Wright-Way Rescue began it's efforts in 2003 as a small grass roots organization trying to make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats found at animal control facilities in rural Southern IL. Over 90% of animals at these organizations were being euthanized. Many of these animals were young puppies and kittens that were killed due to lack of space, adoptive homes, and awareness. Very few rescue groups were helping these rural areas and pets found in these facilities had little hope of ever finding homes no matter how adoptable they were. It became evident that help was desperately needed not only in Southern IL but in much of the rural Midwest where these facilities exist. Services Offered
Wright-Way Rescue offers a variety of programs and services that support our mission. Pet adoptions are offered to qualified applicants year-round. We also provide educational based field trips and school visits for grades K-8 by appointment. Dog training classes are offered at our Niles IL location to help ensure a well mannered pet and responsible pet ownership. Intake of animals who cannot be kept by their owners is facilitated by appointment only. (Wright-Way Rescue does not contract nor have licensing to take in stray pets.) Please contact us regarding any of our programs and services.
